CHESS

Chess is a fun game, but it's complicated too.
Here is some good advice if you want to learn chess!

1. When you are first learn to play break the game down into easy parts.
    First learn how the pawns move, then the King, and then all the other pieces.
    Finally put it all together.

2. Once you learn how all the pieces work you need to start to play around with different
     strategies. For example you could ask yourself "what would be a good way to make a
     defence for my King or Queen?"

3. You have to play and practice chess a lot before you can become a good chess player.

4. If you get to be good at chess maybe you will want to enter a
    tournament.But remember, it's nerve-wracking so be a good
    sport! It's okay to lose!

5. Chess is fun to play with other people. It's nice to use your
    mind to think about things.And it's a good way to pass the time.

When you play chess you learn many things. You learn:

• the rules of the game
• how to see patterns on the chess board
• that every move you make has a consequence
• how to extend your thinking
