| Alliteration Monsters: Ms Jay helped us to draw monsters. We chose a letter of the alphabet, then we created a name for our monster, we decided what food it eats and where it lives. Everything had to start with the same letter. We did a sketch and showed it to Ms Jay before we started to draw and colour our monster. We used chalk pastel on black paper. We made a frame and coloured it. Theresa Jung Grade 5 |

| Plasticine Drawing: These beautiful drawings are made from plasticine. We had a poem and we cut sentences from the poem. Everyone got a phrase and described the phrase by drawing a picture and by using plasticine. We had a great time making these wonderful plasticine drawings. Then our student teacher, Ms Jay, took pictures of our plasticine drawings. Neelam Khare Grade 5 |

| Landscape Made With Cut Paper: We did a landscape in art class. First we sketched the picture. Next, we used coloured construction paper and cut it into the shapes in our landscape. Then we glued the shapes onto a white paper. The paper was done and we gave it to Ms Jay. She gave us some black strips to frame our landscape picture. When we finished, Ms Jay hung them on the wall. In our class, Division 9, we made an art gallery. We made self-portraits that were half our size. We also made plasticine sculptures that were inspired by a poem called "Custard the Dragon". The art project that I liked the best were chalk pastel monster drawings. You had to make your own monster, give it a name, and tell what it eats and where it lives. Our art gallery is in our cloakroom where it stands out to people, but our chalk pastel monster drawings are up on the wall. Our art gallery was lots of fun but it was hard. by Jonathan Lee |

We did a project with our teacher, Ms. Jay. We combined math and art, and here is what we did. First we measured ourselves with a partner and then we divided the measurements in half. Then we drew ourselves on a big piece of paper using the measurements. Next, we drew our faces and painted our pictures. We cut out the figures and put them up on the wall. by Annu Singh |
