ENVIROHAWKS,

We are the ENVIROHAWKS, an enthusiastic bunch of students who are wanting to make a positive change in our world.  Our ages range from age seven to thirteen.  We meet twice a week in Ms. Skipper's room, room 111.  We meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12:20.  When we meet we do things like talk about issues in the environment, such as global warming, and how to help keep the Earth clean.  We like to watch documentary films on the environment and how to protect it.  We discuss ideas of how we can help others become more aware of our changing environment.  One way we have done this at our school was by having the ENVIRO-WEEK this past April.  During that week leading up to Earth Day we challenged classes to such things as:

1) turning off the lights when not in use
2) using alternative forms of transportation
3) bringing a garbage-free lunch to school
4) and holding quizzes

Our logo is:
The tree surrounded by the 4 arrows.  This represents the tree of life surrounded by the 4 Rs (recycle, re-use, reduce, and refuse)

Our motto is:     All for one
                         One for the Earth
                         Saving the Earth
                         Starting from birth

We made up this motto because we can all do our part to make the Earth a better place even as young children.

Our goals are :
1) to educate ourselves
2) to educate others
