| The next stage of the salmon is the alevins. The alevins is the stage when it hatches from the eggs. The alevins don't eat. The reason that the tiny alevins don't eat is because they have a yolk sac. A yolk sac is 24 hours of foods. It means that the alevins don't have to eat, but they eat from their yolk sac. The alevins is about 2 centimeters long. It also have a fantastic, shiny long tail. After a while, the alevins would nibble at the food particles, deep down in the soil. But it is not really eating, it is practicing to eat. |
