| At smolt stage, my siblings and I swam downstream to the estuary, where the freshwater meets the saltwater of the ocean. I noticed that the colours of my brothers and sisters are changing, our brownish stripes soon turned to silver. Our blood will develop a lower salt concentration to prepare for life in the salty sea. |
