The Grade Four Journey To Grouse Mountain
On Wednesday, April 11th, the grade fours went to Grouse Mountain! The bus is how we got there. I took the sky ride for the first time! My mom hasn't even been on that yet!!!! When we got to the top of the mountain, we went snowshoeing. It was fun but hard work. I fell twice. When we were finished snowshoeing, we went into the Hiwus feast house. We had hot chocolate, vegetable soup, and a type of bread called bannock bread. The food was awesome! The Elder told us stories as well. The legend he told us was called the Seagull who Stole the Sun. When he was finished, we did crafts. Most of the kids, including me, did the whale. When we were done, we went back down the sky ride or gondola. We saw a flying ticket. On the bus ride home, I sat in the back. We sang bus songs. It was really fun.
When we got back to school I played basketball. That's what I did last Wednesday.
