The 23nd Annual Vancouver Elementary Schools Recorder Festival was held on the afternoons of Wednesday, May 28, Thursday, May 29, and Friday, May 30 at Norquay School. This is a friendly and non-competitive forum both for entire classes of recorder-playing students and for smaller, extra-curricular recorder ensembles. At this year's festival, over the three afternoons, twenty-seven groups took part. Our guest performers were Catherine Lee, David Garfinkle, Pat Unrah and member of the Vancouver Historical Performance Society.
