| Mrs. Kainer is a teacher and a coach at John
Norquay Elementary. She has skillful methods and has a lot of experience
at sports. Talented as she is, her love for dance has never ended.
Mrs.Kainer was very proud of the Senior Boys team last year because they developed many skills. The children have a lot of confidence and when playing against difficult opponents, she was very impressed because they never gave up. Mrs.Kainer has been coaching basketball and volleyball since1973. Wow! 28 years! Also, she has been instructing tap for 35 years. She started teaching it when she was 15 years old. "I love tap!" She's been tapping since she was 7 years old. Mrs. Kainer has always said that tap is not as easy as it looks but once you get the hang of it, it's fun. To her, tap's very exciting. She also teaches tap to adults age 30-72. The adults perform at competitions and parties. In high school and university Mrs. Kainer played basketball alot. Her team won the Canadian University Championship 4 years in a row. A problem is when children say "I can't do it." That's why she wants to coach, to stop these comments. Competition is a great thing. It teaches you things about life, and how to handle winning and losing gracefully. This is what ispired her to become a coach. Some advice from Mrs. Kainer is, "Participate in as many things as you can; take all your opportunities and use your best ability." |
